Young Czech scientists succeeded with their projects in the European competition

On 19 September 2021, the European Commission announced the winners of the 32nd EU Contest for Young Scientists, with the top prizes awarded to six projects from Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine. The winners will receive €7,000 for each of their outstanding projects in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as in social sciences.  

The second and third prizes were granted to projects from Bulgaria, Czechia, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Belarus and Canada. CZELO cordially congratulates to winners form Czech Republic Michal Bravanský who won the third prize with his project “Be Informed: A news aggregator” and Zdeněk Pezlar who succeeded with project “Interesting Uses of Algebraic Number Theory”.  

The EU Contest for Young Scientists was set up by the European Commission in 1989 to encourage cooperation and exchange between young scientists and to give them the opportunity to be guided by some of Europe's most prominent researchers.
