Pracovní program pro rok 2022 otevírá možnosti financování v hodnotě více než 1,7 miliard EUR.

The Work Programme for 2022 of European Innovation Council opens funding opportunities worth more than 1,7 billion EUR and introduces number of novelties and simplifications. Financial support will be provided through three main funding schemes, which are EIC Pathfinder, EIC Transition and EIC Accelerator. More detailed schedule for opening calls can be found below:

  • Pathfinder Open - open from 1 March to 4 May 2022.
  • Pathfinder Challenges – open from 15 June to 19 October 2022.
  • EIC Transition – apply anytime from 1 March with cut-off dates on 4 May and 28 September 2022.
  • EIC Accelerator – apply anytime with cut-off dates on 23 March, 15 June and 5 October 2022.

All projects have access to "Business Acceleration Services", which provide access to professional mentors, coaches, and global partners, such as leading innovation companies and investors. Thanks to this platform, projects also have access to the European innovation ecosystem.

A novelty in the work program is the "Scale-up 100" initiative, which aims to identify 100 European companies in the deep tech sector that have the potential to become "unicorns". There is also support for capital investment above 15 million EUR under the EIC Accelerator, greater support for women in the innovation sector and simplification of the rules for the seal of excellence. Finally, more frequent application deadlines will be set for EIC Transition and EIC Accelerator, with a continuous application process introduced for EIC Transition.
