The NEB LAB was launched with a call to become "friends" of the New European Bauhaus

The think-tank NEB LAB is part of the New European Bauhaus initiative and aims to act as an incubator that brings together stakeholders to exchange the best practices. Its goal is to promote the interconnection of design, sustainability, accessibility, affordability and investment to help deliver the European Green Deal. The incubator is intended to directly involve companies and public entities, such as regions, municipalities and cities. The key outputs of NEB LAB are projects that support the change processes and improve quality of life of citizens. Project may involve several coordination activities in different contexts and in different locations.

Several projects are currently underway within the NEB LAB, such as the "labelling strategy" project on sustainability, inclusiveness and aesthetics, the "analysis and experimentation" project, which aims to examine how the regulatory framework can support the development of New European Bauhaus projects and two projects aimed at "innovative funding". Within "innovative funding" projects, the first focuses on crowdfunding and public funding and the second on joint funding with philanthropy.

At the same time, there are three community-led projects ongoing within the NEB LAB, the "New European Bauhaus goes South", which brings together six south European countries, the "Nordic Carbon Neutral Bauhaus", an open forum focused on carbon neutral buildings and the living environment and the "New European Bauhaus of the mountains”, which seeks to improve the quality of the built environment in rural and mountain areas.

The NEB LAB was launched with a call to become "friends" of the New European Bauhaus, which is open to businesses and public entities such as cities, regions and other municipalities. The call follows the demand of the above-mentioned entities for a more structured involvement in the New European Bauhaus. Non-profit organizations can apply as "partners". Calls are permanently open.

You can find more information on the calls together with other additional information on NEB LAB on the website of the European Commission
