CZELO has organized a webinar on the New European Bauhaus

The event attracted almost 90 participants.

The Czech Liaison Office for Education and Research (CZELO) together with the Technology Centre of CAS has organized on 25 October a webinar on the topic of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). The aim of the event was to present the NEB initiative and stimulate discussion on this topic. The event attracted almost 90 participants. 

The webinar was divided into two parts. The first part featured speakers from the European Commission, including Ruth Reichstein from the European Commission´s Advisory Board on NEB and Eoghan Kinirons from the Directorate General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD). In her presentation, Reichstein described the initiative and invited the participants to join the calls on becoming “Friends” and “Partners” of NEB. Finally, she mentioned other activities related to this initiative, such as the Festival and Prizes of the New European Bauhaus. Kinirons presented the NEB report, which contains a series of recommendations aimed at supporting this initiative in his presentation. He also summarized the previous and upcoming Horizon Europe NEB calls.  

The second part of the event focused on case studies from the Czech Republic. Tomáš Vácha gave a presentation to the participants about the NEB-STAR project and the activities of the CrAFt initiative. Martin Mráz closed the event with his project “Reclaim Žižkov” that placed second in the category “Regain a sense of belonging” of NEB Prizes 2022.
