Liberec found eligible for the EU Mission "Climate-neutral and Smart Cities"

A total of 362 cities were found eligible for the mission, the evaluation of individual applications will be published in April.

On 25 November 2021, a call for expressions of interest was announced for the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities mission. The call closed on January 31 and its results are in now.

The city of Liberec is also among the 362 cities that have been approved to participate. The evaluation of eligible participants has just started and its results are scheduler to be published in April 2022.

The mission aims to deliver 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030 with the help of local authorities, citizens, businesses, investors as well as regional and national authorities. It also aims to ensure that these cities function as experimentation and innovation hubs to enable all European cities to follow suit by 2050.
