Join the European Social Innovation Competition!

Applications can be submitted until 30 May 2023.

The European Commission has opened applications for the 11th edition of the European Social Innovation Competition, which is supported and funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) as part of the Horizon Europe programme. The competition recognizes social innovations and innovators who provide solutions to societal challenges.

This year will be focused on fighting energy poverty in line with the REPowerEU initiative. The proposed solutions can for examples deal with monitoring, pricing models, production, consumption and energy savings or investments. Innovative solutions should result in new or adapted services, support technological development or shape new business models. The competition will award both technological and non-technological social innovations.

The first three winners will receive 50 000 EUR each.

The competition is open to social innovators from EU Member States and countries associated to Horizon Europe. Applications can be submitted until 30 May 2023.
