The European Innovation Council has revised its Investment Guidelines

The revised investment guidelines are valid for companies that joined the EIC Accelerator in 2021 and 2022.

Revised EIC Investment Guidelines have been published, applicable for companies that joined the EIC Accelerator in 2021 and 2022.

The set of investment guidelines is intended to provide applicants, selected companies and potential co-investors with a clearer overview of recent changes in the management of the EIC Fund and to describe the investment process in detail. It also explains the conditions under which the EIC Fund will make investment decisions and describes possible investment scenarios.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) advised the EIC Fund over the pilot phase and will play the same role during the transition phase in 2022. The new agreement with the EIB should then ensure the continuity of its role in preparing investment decisions, monitoring and managing the portfolio of companies.

The European Commission expects that the long-term approach to EIC Fund management will be ready for the EIC Accelerator calls for 2023 and will remain in place until the end of the current Horizon Europe programming period in 2027.
