The eight edition of the European Capital of Innovation Awards has been announced

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2022.

European Commission has launched the eighth edition of the European Capital of Innovation Awards (iCapital), which is supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC). 

This is an annual award given to European cities that bring together players from local innovation ecosystems and help to accelerate the growth of start-ups and innovators, while bringing systemic transformation to achieve climate neutrality.  

A total of six prizes will be awarded in two categories: 1) European Capital of Innovation, 2) Rising Innovative City. 

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2022.
