Apply for the third call of the EIT HEI Initiative

The application system will be open on 17 November. The application deadline is 28 February 2023.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) together with the Knowledge and Innovation Community EIT Raw Materials, in the role of coordinator, has launched a third call of the EIT HEI Initiative

The call will support up to 16 consortia of higher education institutions and non-academic organizations with a maximum amount of 750 000 EUR per project. For the first time, the call is open to both new organizations and existing partners from the previous EIT HEI Initiative calls. The aim of the call is to implement activities that will improve the entrepreneurial and innovative capacities of universities. The novelty of this call is a focus on training tech talents in higher education, which shall be in line with the new EIT Deep Tech Talent programme. It aims to train up to 1 million workers in deep tech sector over the next three years.  

Examples of activities in the deep tech field can be: integration of deep tech fields into curricula and courses, support of the start-ups and spin-offs, facilitation of introduction of deep tech innovations to the market.  

The application system will be open on 17 November. The application deadline is 28 February 2023. The selected projects will be announced in May 2023.
