Apply for the European competition for the best social innovation!

Deadline for applications is 17 May 2022.

European Commission launched the 10th edition of the European Social Innovation Competition, which is supported by the European Innovation Council under the Horizon Europe.  

European contest for the best social innovation, as it is name indicates, awards social innovation projects that strengthen the local innovation ecosystems. Every year, the contest focuses on a concrete social problem, so-called “challenge”. This year’s challenge concerns the future of living and innovation for affordable and sustainable housing districts. This theme follows up on the initiative of the New European Bauhaus, which aims to engage citizens and other relevant stakeholders in cultural change that will lead to a more sustainable living and will help to meet the goals of the European Green Deal.  

The competition is open to social innovators from EU Member States and countries associated to Horizon Europe. Deadline for applications is 17 May 2022.
