International Education in Figures and Visuals II

The number of people leaving Czechia each year to gain educational and professional experience abroad has been rising in recent years. However, Czechia is also a popular study destination for both short-term stays and full-degree study programs. International education, however, is not limited to those who leave Czechia and those who come here to gain experience—in selected countries, we preserve Czech cultural heritage within compatriot communities and at universities abroad, and we strive to promote the internationalisation of education through our involvement in associations, networks, and other activities.

The publication International Education in Figures and Visuals II summarizes the main trends in internationalisation, based primarily on data from 2014 to 2024. The data used combines the archives of the National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS), the European Commission’s Dashboard, data from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and other sources available to DZS.
